How to refer
Email the referral, care plan or referral enquiry to the clinic. Please include the person’s consent for contact, contact details, referral reason, current supports and any relevant risk information.
Referrals
For eating disorder therapy, body image work, identity-affirming mental health support, neuroaffirming practice and recovery planning.
Body Belonging Clinic welcomes referrals from GPs, psychologists, dietitians, psychiatrists, paediatricians, school counsellors, Aboriginal health workers, LGBTQIA+ services, allied health providers and community organisations.
Referrals can be emailed directly to admin@bodybelongingclinic.com.au. Clients can also book online through Halaxy if they are self-referring or ready to make an appointment.

Medicare rebates may be available for eligible clients with a valid GP Mental Health Treatment Plan, psychiatrist or paediatrician referral, or Medicare Eating Disorder Treatment and Management Plan where eligibility criteria are met.
Appointments are available in Nedlands and by telehealth across Australia, including a 20-minute bulk billed telehealth access option for eligible clients where referral, Medicare item and clinical requirements are met.
What to include
When available, please include the client’s preferred name, pronouns, date of birth, contact details, Medicare referral pathway, current supports, relevant medical information, eating disorder or body image concerns, risk concerns, cultural or accessibility considerations, and whether family, kin, carers or other practitioners are involved.
For urgent risk, medical instability or crisis concerns, please use emergency or acute services. Body Belonging Clinic is not an emergency or crisis service.
A secure online referral form may be added later. For launch, referral enquiries are directed through clinic email and secure referral pathways where available so sensitive information is handled safely and respectfully.
